“Rascal” has found a forever home! PDF 打印 E-mail

 rascalrennyicvs

Rascal and Renny pose for their first photo together as a family at ICVS.

Renny stocked up at the ICVS retail store and purchased food, toys, crates and everything Rascal needs to feel at home.

A very happy ending for little Rascal who has been adopted by Renny Harlin, a Hollywood film director, living in Beijing! Renny is the director of the new film "Skiptrace" starring Jackie Chan and Fan Bing Bing. Renny found Rascal's adoption notice on the ICVS web site and came over to the hospital to visit him. It was love at first meeting for both Renny and Rascal and we knew they were the perfect match for each other.

Rascal was cared for by ICVS after he was rescued from a dog meat slaughterhouse. Rascal was cared for and nursed back to health at ICVS. We could not be happier for Renny and Rascal!

Many thanks to everyone that helped promote Rascal and our many beautiful pets for adoption. Please support the ICVS Non-Profit Humane Animal Welfare Programs that allow wonderful pets like Rascal to be treated, rehabilitated and adopted to loving forever homes!

Introduction: Hi everyone! my name is Rascal!

Background: I was rescued by a very kind man from a dog meat slaughterhouse. I was no longer wanted by the vendors that were trying to sell me as a pet so they sold me to the slaughterhouse for salvage value. I was rescued and taken to ICVS, where I was diagnosed with Parvovirus. I was treated and cared for and nursed back to health. I am a survivor of the dog meat trade and am very happy and lucky to have survived. I am hoping for a new start in life with a new family that will love me forever.

Personality: Despite all I have been through, my nature and personality is very gentle, sweet and friendly. I adore people and am hoping for a forever home!

Ideal home: Rascal would be happiest with an individual, a couple or a family with older children (e.g., 8 years and older). Rascal must be a family member for life so taking him overseas when relocating is essential.

Breed: Rascal is a short haired, small Beagle mixed dog.

Sex and age: Rascal is a young dog of about 10-11 months old.

Medical notes: Rascal is now very healthy and lively and has already been dewormed, treated for fleas and ticks, stool checked, vaccinated, microchipped and is already neutered.

Post-adoption care: The International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) has enrolled me into their Rescued/Stray/Rehomed Pet Adoption Benefits Program. ICVS will provide my new family with significant discounts (up to 50%) on my health examinations and vaccinations during my first year of life with my new family!

Official Vaccination Certificate: With my rabies vaccination, ICVS will issue my new family the official Beijing Animal Health and Immunity Certificate (e.g., vaccination red book) at no charge! I need the official vaccination red book to prove I have been legally and properly rabies vaccinated to move to another city or to leave China with my family.

Official Spay/Neuter Certificate for Dogs: After my neuter surgery, ICVS will issue my new family an official Spay/Neuter Certificate that will provide my owners with a 50% discount (e.g., up to RMB 500.00 savings) on my dog license registration fee at the Public Security Bureau!

Puppy and Adult Dog Obedience Training Programs at ICVS: ICVS has introduced new puppy and adult dog obedience training programs. The dog training classes will help me and my family live a more harmonious life together! All profits from the puppy and adult dog training programs will be donated to the ICVS Non-Profit Humane Animal Welfare Programs! Please contact ICVS for more information about canine obedience training.

Pet Import/Export Counseling: ICVS will provide my family with unlimited relocation counseling and accurate information to take me with them when it is time to move to another city or to another country.

Door-to-Door Pet Transport Service: ICVS can help my new family arrange for a car and driver service to take us door-to-door for my appointments at the hospital! Contact ICVS: www.ICVSASIA.com

Tibetan Mastiff Rescue at ICVS- Your suport is needed! PDF 打印 E-mail

 dr. wang mastiff shelter

ICVS veterinarian, Dr. Wang, examining a rescued Tibetan Mastiff at the shelter.

Every year hundreds of thousands of dogs are being slaughtered for

their meat, fur and skin in China. Many of these dogs are abandoned

strays, stolen pets and discarded dogs that could not be sold by breeders.

Kept in desperate conditions without food and water for days, the dogs

are loaded into cramped cages on trucks to be sent to slaughterhouses

across the country.

In February 2015, about 150 large dogs were found on a truck in

North China, destined for the dog meat markets. On board this truck

were 20 Tibetan Mastiffs. A group of volunteers rescued the dogs

and the surviving animals were sent to shelters in several cities in

North China.

ICVS is working with the rescue volunteers and a local shelter to

provide medical care and treatment and to find adoption families

for 8 of these beautiful Tibetan Mastiffs.

The Tibetan Mastiffs under our care are in need of vaccinations,

flea and tick treatments, microchipping, neutering/spaying and

medical treatment and surgeries for injuries, wounds and other

treatable health issues.

ICVS is donating the skills and services of our veterinary surgeons,

veterinary technicians, administration and management staff and

our facilities in the care and treatment of these Tibetan Mastiffs

and the many stray/rescued/abandoned pets that we care for

every year. We need the help of the community to please donate

funds towards the cost of medical supplies, drugs, vaccines and

nutritious pet foods to care for these beautiful animals.

Puppy "JuBi" Survived Parvovirus with your generous support! PDF 打印 E-mail

jubi

Little "JuBi" was found in the streets by a kind person and then rescued and adopted by the Kim family.

jubi kim family

Within 24-hours of her rescue and adoption, JuBi began vomiting and had very bad diarrhea. Her mommy and daddy brought her to the International Center for Veterinary Services (ICVS) where she was thoroughly examined and tested. Unfortunately, JuBi was positive for Parvovirus, an infectious viral disease that can be fatal for most dogs. JuBi was very sick and has been hospitalized and treated at ICVS for over two-weeks. Jubi had a very strong will to survive and knew she was deeply loved by her family. With the generous donations from members of the community, Jubi was able to continue her life-saving treatments and hospitalized care. Jubi is now fully recovered and a Parvovirus survivor. She is truly a miracle puppy and is now completing her puppy vaccinations and will be spayed soon!

Jubi, the Kim family and ICVS thank all of you for your kind support, well wishes and generous donations!

With your continued donations and support, ICVS can help beautiful pets like JuBi receive the life-saving medications and treatments necessary to overcome diseases such as Parvovirus. Thank you so much for your continued support.
